She swallowed the sudden lump in her throat and turned back to her work, still blushing.

Anna took a sip of her Coke. Ten minutes had passed since the beginning of lunch, and Aleksey hadn't shown up. She sighed and tried to focus on her calculus textbook.

He sat down in front of her and she jumped. "You're really quiet."

"I'm sneaky like that," he said. "Sorry I'm late – I needed to get some lunch."

"It's okay. So, um, where do you want to start?"

"Huh?"

"With the calculus," she said.

"Oh yeah. Well, we don't have a lot of time now. Can we hang out some time this weekend? Remember, we have Monday off too."

"Sure. Um, I have a big family thing in Oakville on Saturday, and I'm working Sunday, but Monday is okay."

"Okay. Where do you work?"

"Shoppers Drug Mart – the one near St. Clair and Yonge."

"When you get off work on Sunday?"
