GENERAL PROGRAM INFO
Are you 15 – 30 years old? Do you love doodling, drawing and painting, collaging, making your own comics and posters, or updating your facebook page with your latest, most excellent sketches? If you love telling stories through your art, then the PARKDALE BOOK ARTISTS is definitely for you!
What will we do in the workshops?
Work directly with awesome authors, book artists, illustrators and designers!
Location:
Parkdale Community Health Centre, 1229 Queen Street W, Toronto. See it on a map!
Dates:
Every Thursday afternoon, from 4 pm to 6 pm
Ongoing until June 18

Zero. Nothing. Absolutely free!

The Fine Print:
Snacks and art supplies will be provided.
TTC tickets are available for teens coming from outside the neighborhood.
At the end of the program, we’ll publish our favorite work and participate in a gallery show!
Coordinator:
Willow Dawson is an illustrator and writer. She just completed the graphic novel No Girls Allowed (written by Susan Hughes, Kids Can Press) and is currently working on 100 Mile House, a series of semi-autobiographical memoirs for Top Shelf Comix. Other books by Willow include, The Innumerable Obsessions of Purl McGee (self published); and Violet Miranda: Girl Pirate with writer Emily Pohl-Weary (Kiss Machine Presents). Willow plays the musical saw in the band little brown bat, she also paints, sews, grows plants, collects dead bugs, eats spaghetti and doesn't comb her hair.
